Branches of Banque Misr for Islamic Transactions finance a variety of economic activities in accordance with the rules of Islamic Shariah, approved by the majority of Islamic scholars, including the following:

  • Musharka:

Musharka means that two persons contribute capital and share the profit between them. They may have unequal shares in the capital, in the trading activities or in the profits. One partner may contribute more capital than the other, and one partner may be responsible for managing the trading activities,the two partners may agree to divide the profits equally or according to an agreed ratio. In case of loss, each partner bears the loss in proportion to their capital.

  • Murabaha :

Murabaha Is purchasing a specific commodity with the specifications determined by the customer, based on his promise to purchase that commodity, at an agreed profit margin. The deferred price is paid by the customer either in one lump sum or in installments.

  • Mudarabah:

Mudarabah is a profit-sharing partnership between two parties. One provides the capital (Rabb Al-Mal), while the other provides the work, expertise, and management (the Mudarib). The profit is shared between the two parties according to the ratio they agree upon.

  • Ijarah:

Ijarah is a contract for leasing the usufruct of an asset while ownership of the asset remains with the lessor. In return for rent paid by the lessee for the use of the leased asset, as agreed upon by both parties over a specified period (the lease term).

  • Istisna:

Istisna is a sale contract for assets or goods to be manufactured or constructed in accordance with specified agreed-upon specifications, for an agreed price
